AltruBio to Share Ulcerative Colitis Trial Data at UEG Week 2026
AltruBio will present Phase 2a results for ALTB-268 in ulcerative colitis patients at UEG Week in Barcelona this October.
AltruBio Inc., a San Francisco-based clinical-stage biotech, announced it will deliver an oral presentation at United European Gastroenterology Week 2026, scheduled for October 17–20 in Barcelona, Spain. The presentation will spotlight new data from the company's ongoing ASCEND UC2a study.
The trial, registered under NCT06109441, is evaluating ALTB-268 — AltruBio's lead drug candidate — in adult patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis who have not responded adequately to prior advanced therapies. The Phase 2a design targets a patient population with significant unmet medical need, given that existing biologic and small-molecule treatments fail a meaningful share of those diagnosed with the chronic inflammatory bowel condition.

AltruBio positions ALTB-268 as a novel immune modulator aimed at immunological and inflammatory diseases. An oral slot at a major international gastroenterology congress typically signals that trial results are considered substantive by program committees, though the company has not yet disclosed specific efficacy or safety findings ahead of the meeting.
UEG Week is one of Europe's largest annual gatherings for gastroenterology research and draws specialists from across the globe, making it a high-visibility venue for clinical data readouts in inflammatory bowel disease. The Barcelona conference runs four days and is expected to feature competing data sets in the ulcerative colitis space from multiple developers.
