NPT and J.P. Morgan Create DAF-to-Trump Account Giving Path
National Philanthropic Trust and J.P. Morgan have launched a mechanism allowing donor-advised fund assets to fund children's Trump Accounts.
National Philanthropic Trust (NPT), one of the largest public charities in the United States and a prominent independent donor-advised fund sponsor, has partnered with J.P. Morgan to open a new charitable giving channel that directs DAF assets toward qualified contributions to Trump Accounts — the children's investment accounts established under recent federal policy.
The arrangement gives DAF holders a structured way to deploy charitable dollars into these savings vehicles on behalf of children, blending philanthropic intent with long-term wealth-building for young beneficiaries. NPT is described as a leading independent DAF sponsor, making it a significant institutional player in operationalizing this pathway for account holders nationwide.

Donor-advised funds have long been used as flexible charitable vehicles, allowing donors to contribute assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants over time. Extending that functionality to qualified contributions to children's investment accounts represents an expansion of how DAF assets can be directed, potentially broadening access to Trump Accounts for families who might otherwise lack the resources to fund them independently.
The partnership was announced from Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, where NPT is headquartered, and brings together two major institutions — one in the nonprofit charitable sector and one of the country's largest financial services firms — to facilitate the new contribution structure. The collaboration signals growing institutional interest in linking established philanthropic infrastructure with newly created federal savings programs.
